MARIGOLD INFUSED Oil
Marigold infused oil, most commonly made from Calendula officinalis (pot marigold), is a soothing topical oil created by steeping dried flower petals in a carrier oil such as apricot, olive, jojoba or sweet almond oil. This golden infused oil can be used in formulations or as a standalone product such as a nourishing body oil.

Materials
450 ml Plastic Cosmetic Jar
Strainer
Recommended for sanitising your workspace:
70% Isopropyl Alcohol
Mist Spray Bottle
for the isopropyl alcohol.
Before you begin: Wash the jar, allow it to air dry and sanitise it with 70% isopropyl alcohol before use.
02 The Method

Weigh the apricot kernel oil and marigold flowers accurately into the sanitised jar. Close the jar and gently shake to completely submerge the marigold flowers in the oil.

Store the jar in a dark cupboard for up to two weeks. Gently shake the jar every other day to help the botanicals infuse into the oil.

After two weeks, strain the infused oil through the strainer into a clean, sanitised jar.

Add the Vitamin E and stir until evenly incorporated. Transfer the finished marigold infused oil into your containers of choice, ready to use on its own or in your formulations.
Storage:

Store in a dark cupboard or closet.

Keep away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Keep safely stored out of reach of children.
