Instructions
Before you start mixing your ingredients, prep the moulds first by adding a few florals in the moulds pocket. We start with prepping the moulds first because once the mixture is done, we need to transfer to the moulds quickly and immediately.
Start by sifting all the dry powders into a large mixing bowl. Use a sieve to remove any lumps and discard hard bits - this helps ensure a smooth, even finish. Give the powders a good mix to blend everything evenly.
In a separate container, mix all the liquid ingredients well to fully combine them. Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients. Start mixing with a whisk, then switch to gloved hands to fully bring everything together.
Add the citric acid last. This helps prevent it from activating too early. Mix everything again until well combined.
The perfect texture is when the mixture holds together when pressed into a ball.
Now its time to start filling the moulds. Take smalls scoop and slightly overfill each cavity, then press the mixture in firmly. Use a spoon to press and compact the mixture tightly.
Once all moulds are filled, transfer them to an large airtight storage container.
Allow them to set and dry for 24–48 hours.
When the pedi bombs have completely dried, unmoulds and package them in containers of choice. They are ready to use.
To use the pedi bombs, simply drop two tablets in warm water and soak your feet up to 10 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry. Follow with a moisturizer.
Formulating Notes
• You can use any type of dried flowers that you like, to create a beautiful floral aesthetic. This is optional. You may leave the pedis bare without florals
• This formula is created so you don’t need to add any extra liquid to spray on the mixture to bind it
• PRO TIP: When drying your pedi bombs, place a moisture absorber in the container to help remove excess moisture and speed up the drying process.
