Cooling Lip Balm Recipe

A refreshing, hydrating balm that cools and soothes your lips — perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • • WS-23 Crystals – 0.5%
  • • Vegetable Petrolatum VP170 – 67%
  • • Coconut Oil – 10%
  • • Shea Butter (Refined) – 10%
  • • Castor Oil (Cold-Pressed) – 10%
  • • Beeswax (White Natural) – 2%
  • • Fragrance Oil – 0.5% (Cherry or any fragrance of your choice)

Instructions

  1. In a heat-safe beaker, add beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, Vegetable Petrolatum VP170, and castor oil.
  2. Gently heat the mixture in a double boiler until all ingredients are fully melted and well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and stir gently to allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  4. Add the WS-23 crystals (for the cooling effect) and stir until completely dissolved.
  5. Once the mixture has cooled to below 45°C, add your chosen fragrance oil and stir thoroughly to blend.
  6. Pour into lip balm tubes or small tins while still warm and liquid.
  7. Allow to set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
