How to Wick Your Candle Jar
1. Measure the Diameter of Your Jar
Work on a stable surface for accuracy. It's best to unpack and re-measure the inner diameter of your jar to avoid choosing the wrong wick size. Write it down to keep track.
2. Choose the Right Wick
Refer to the wick size chart and select the wick that matches your measured jar diameter.
3. Decide on the Number of Wicks
For wider jars, you may need 2 or more wicks. Divide the jar's diameter by the number of wicks you plan to use, then use the wick chart to find the correct size.
4. Attach the Wick to the Jar
Use a high-quality glue gun to apply a small drop of warm glue to the base of the metal sustainer. Press the wick firmly into the center of the jar. For better placement, you can mark the center with a non-permanent marker.
If using two wicks, divide the jar into equal sections and place the wicks evenly spaced from the center and edges. You can also use Bostik Extra Strength Glue Dots for secure adhesion.
