You’ll Need:

300g Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base
1–2 tsp Purple Mica Powder
3–5 drops Purple Soap Colorant (optional for richer tone)
12g Grape Fragrance Oil (4% of 300g)
Natural cotton string or twine (pre-cut into 15–20 cm lengths)
Spray Bottle with Isopropyl Alcohol (99%)
Round Ice Cube Mould with String Holes
Microwave-safe jug or double boiler
Stirring stick or spoon

Method:

1. Prepare the String
Cut your string or twine into equal lengths (approx. 15–20 cm).
Thread each string through the hole of your mould so the ends hang outside the soap cavity. Use a small piece of tape to hold the string in place on the outside of the mould if needed.

2. Chop & Melt Soap Base
Cut the Melt & Pour soap base into small cubes and melt using a microwave in 30-second bursts or a double boiler. Stir between intervals until fully melted.

3. Add Colour
Mix in the mica powder and optional soap colorant until the base turns a rich grape-purple. Ensure it’s fully blended with no clumps.

4. Add Fragrance
Let the base cool slightly (to about 55–60°C), then stir in the Grape Fragrance Oil. Mix gently but thoroughly.

5. Pour into Mould
Carefully pour the soap into each mould cavity while the strings are still in place. Make sure the string stays centered and doesn’t sink. Spritz the surface with isopropyl alcohol to eliminate bubbles.

6. Cool & Set
Allow the soaps to fully harden at room temperature for 1–2 hours.

7. Unmould
Gently remove the soaps from the mould. The string should now be embedded in each soap, creating a cute “soap on a string.”
